Commissioning Engineer · On-site

g2 is currently looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join a client based in Southern Sweden (Skåne County) immediately for a 12-month initial contract.

You will be involved in the full installation, testing, commissioning, qualification, start-up and handover of a large-scale production facility which is moving to installation phase in April.

  • WORKING PATTERN / HOURS: 40 hours per week, fulltime onsite
  • CONTRACT TYPE: Freelance / Interim / Self-Employed / Egenföretagare

Specification:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Automation, Civil) – any discipline is fine.
  • Experience on commissioning projects from installation to start-up and handover.
  • Knowledge of the start-up process onsite as well as utilities, boilers, air cooling, mixing.
  • Industries experience: food & beverage, process, chemical, oil & gas, farming or agriculture.
  • Take ownership of the technical commissioning programme — from factory acceptance testing of critical equipment through to verified, validated, and productively running production systems.
  • Be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the systematic commissioning of all process systems, utilities, and production equipment within the facility.
  • Knowledge of FATs, SATs.
  • Ability to work 80%-90% in the field, the other 10%-20% in the office.
  • Professional working proficiency in both Swedish and English (written and verbal).

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
