Commissioning Engineer · On-Site
We're seeking a skilled professional to support the testing, configuration, and commissioning of protection and control systems for medium-voltage electrical installations across the Netherlands and on international assignments.
This position offers the opportunity to work on complex power infrastructure projects, delivering high-quality commissioning services while collaborating with experienced engineering teams. You'll play a key role in ensuring protection systems are fully tested, commissioned, and ready for reliable operation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing, configuration, and commissioning of medium-voltage protection relays and associated control systems.
- Carry out functional testing, fault finding, and system verification prior to energization.
- Ensure all commissioning activities are completed in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Produce commissioning documentation and test records.
- Work closely with project teams, clients, and site personnel to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Travel within the Netherlands and internationally to support commissioning activities on customer sites.
Required Experience:
- Experience commissioning protection and control systems within the power or electrical industry.
- Strong knowledge of medium-voltage electrical installations and protection relays.
- Confident working independently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Calm and methodical approach when working under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions on site.
- Willingness to travel internationally for project work.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and delivering reliable engineering solutions.
