Position: Commissioning Manager - Combined Cycle Power Plant
Location: Munich, Germany
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning activities of a combined cycle power plant. This senior role requires strong leadership skills and technical expertise to manage multidisciplinary teams through the cold and hot commissioning phases, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant plant start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end commissioning and start-up phases of the combined cycle power plant.
- Oversee cold and hot commissioning activities, ensuring all technical, safety, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including automation, process, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to ensure integrated system readiness.
- Develop, review, and approve commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists.
- Monitor commissioning progress and performance; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution in collaboration with engineering and site teams.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and operational regulations throughout the commissioning process.
- Manage commissioning documentation, reports, and handover packages to operations teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client, contractors, and stakeholders during commissioning activities.
Candidate Profile:
- Over 8 years of proven experience managing commissioning projects in combined cycle or power generation plants.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- In-depth knowledge of commissioning methodologies, control systems (PCS7 preferred), and power plant operations.
- Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
- Familiarity with international commissioning standards and environmental compliance in power generation.
- EU work authorisation preferred.
