Computer Aided Design Engineer

A client is looking for a Product/CAD Engineer with a junior background to join their team in the Utrecht region, supporting projects for consumer goods.

The client are a fast growing company supporting both construction industries as well as made to order consumer products for security systems. They have a rapidly increasing workload currently and are aiming to grow the team over the next few years, bringing excellent development opportunity.

The client is particularly interested in junior candidates with experience covering design engineering with standard design engineering tools, and a background working with metals - preferably aluminium.

CAD Engineer - CAD Designer - Product Engineer - Junior Engineering Position

START: October, November, December 2025

SALARY/PACKAGE: €3,500 - €4,000 per month + 8%

OFFICE LOCATION: Utrecht, Netherlands

Essential Skills:

  • Mechanical Engineering background or similar
  • Background working with design engineering with metals, preferably aluminium
  • Experience with standard design software (Solidworks, Inventor, etc.)
  • Any electronics or mechatronics experience is very beneficial
  • Fluent English and conversational Dutch essential

The client has advised there are potentially multiple vacancies for this position with the company in a position to grow the team quickly due to their workload and upcoming projects, and you will be working directly alongside the Lead Engineer.

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
