A client in Germany is currently recruiting for a Construction Manager on a freelance basis in Munich. The position will be working on a Waste-to-Energy plant where they need assistance with site coordination, health and safety aspects and managing contractors/subcontractors on site. The client is a leading renewable energy provider headquartered in Germany with active operations in Europe

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Construction Site - You'll be leading from the front ensuring the smooth running of the project
  • Coordinate the Team - Coordinate subcontractors professionally and encourage a positive, collaborative atmosphere that ensures optimal work
  • Client Liaising - Work closely with all stakeholder's ensuring transparency is maintained throughout the project
  • Sound out what's happening - You will conduct thorough site analysis
  • Monitoring of deadlines, quality and costs in the planning and construction phase: You will monitor compliance with deadlines, quality standards and cost budgets throughout the entire planning and construction phase.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within Power Plants
  • 10 years' experience
  • Experience within Germany
  • Germany speaking level B2 minimum
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
