Construction Manager

G2 are currently looking for a Steel Structures Site Manager to join our client working on Maasvlakte, Rotterdam.

The client is looking for someone to be based in the SIF fabrication yard, you would be working for the client for a six month period covering fabrication for offshore equipment packages.

The role is to work on the construction contractor side to oversee the fabrication for various offshore and subsea structures.

START: Immediate

DURATION: 3-6 months

LOCATION: Maasvlakte, Rotterdam

The client is particularly interested in candidates with experience in Construction and Fabrication on experience at a fabrication or ship yard. The successful site manager would join an ongoing project and work with the site based team to oversee successful fabrication and delivery to site.

As a Site Manager you ensure, with a hands-on approach that the construction site runs smoothly and the installations are successfully removed and replaced safely and to the highest quality.

They are specifically looking for managers with experience on steel fabrication, package fabrication for modular steel or process plant equipment.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - Site Manager

  • You have 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Construction manager, Site Manager or Supervisor
  • Technical construction experience, steel construction and fabrication
  • Greenfield or Brownfield projects experience
  • Working history at a fabrication yard or ship yard
  • Knowledge site based safety processes and regulations
  • English language
  • VCA or relevant site certifications (VCA can be obtained in country)

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
