Construction Manager · On-site

We are looking for a Freelance Construction Manager to oversee on‑site delivery of a a large‑scale Data center, located west of Frankfurt’s city center. Previous data center construction experience is strongly preferred.

Job Title - Freelance Construction Manager

Day Rate - €800 - €1000+

Start date - 9th April

Length of contract - 12 Months (Extensions likely)

Location - Frankfurt, Germany

 

The construction manager would be reasonable for:

  • Manage day‑to‑day on‑site construction activities and ensure work progresses safely and on schedule.
  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain Data center quality and resolve issues quickly.
  • Review drawings, monitor installation of structural and MEP systems across the Data center, and ensure compliance with German building regulations.
  • Track progress, support budgeting, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary on‑site contact for partners, inspectors, and project teams.
  • Coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure safe, high‑quality, and timely project execution across the Data center campus.
  • Oversee installation of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and local regulations.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and site protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
