We are supporting a global leader in green technology as they develop a next-generation steel manufacturing plant in Sweden. This landmark project is at the forefront of sustainable industrial construction and will play a key role in the future of low-carbon steel production.
They are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join the project team.
Role: Construction Manager
Location: North Sweden
Contract: Freelance/Umbrella
Length 12months - With paid Rotation and Accom provided
Start Date: ASAP
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall on-site construction management of a large-scale industrial project, including planning, coordinating, and supervising construction activities across multiple contractors. You will ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while managing site logistics, construction sequencing, and resource allocation. The role also involves overseeing HSE compliance in line with local regulations and company standards, coordinating closely with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams, and providing regular progress, risk, and milestone reporting to senior project stakeholders.
Skills and requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large industrial or heavy-engineering projects
- Background in steel plants, energy, process industry, or similar complex construction environments
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, scheduling, and cost control
- Experience managing multiple contractors and subcontractors
- Solid understanding of HSE standards and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work on-site in Sweden for the duration of the project
