Role - Construction Manager (Owners Side/Owners Representative)

Location - Southern Germany
A client are looking to hire a Freelance Construction Manager for the build of a steel production plant facility in Southern Germany for a minimum duration of between 1-2 year's.
This role will side as the owners side/owners representative for a major steel production plant site and this is a brownfield construction project.
Key Duties:
- You will be the owner's on-site representative during construction through to end commissioning / handover.
- Be required to monitor the EPC contractors and subcontractors for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Review all construction schedules, provide detailed progress reports, and recovery plans if required.
- Manage all packages such as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process installation teams.
- Manage site meetings and liaise with all stakeholders regularly.
- Support commissioning, start-up, and project handover activities.
- Identify and mitigate construction risks, ensuring HSE is front of mind at all times in line with LBO / Landesbauordnung (State Building Code).
Requirements to be considered:
- 10+ years' Construction Management experience on large industrial projects.
- Previous experience on steel plants, heavy industrial facilities, metals, energy, petrochemical, or manufacturing projects.
- Strong understanding of EPC project delivery.
- Experience representing owners, developers, or end-clients.
- Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
