Construction Manager · On-Site

We have an exciting opportunity for a Groundworks Supervisor/Bauleiter to join a German Construction Company for a District Heating Pipeline Project in the Niedersachsen Region (Near Meppen). This is a full time position starting in September on an 18-Month FREELANCE contract.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Assuming the role of site supervisor in the field of civil engineering

· Monitoring construction work with regard to quality, costs, deadlines, and occupational safety

· Organizing and coordinating all civil engineering projects

· Representing the client's interests on the construction site

· Identifying and managing project-related risks

· Organizing and optimizing construction site processes

Operational tasks:

· Site organization and continuous process optimization

· Participation in construction meetings, site visits, and coordination with authorities and residents

· Monitoring and documentation of construction progress and deviations

· Preparation of site reports and technical documentation

· Technical supervision of all civil engineering activities

· Coordination of special measures (e.g., dewatering, specialist foundation engineering methods)

· Review and approval of quantity surveys

· Evaluation of change orders and notices of delay

· Support in claim management and counterclaims

· Oversight of safety-related measures on the construction site

Further responsibilities:

· Schedule and cost control

· Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements

· Quality assurance of construction work

· Contact person for authorities, contractors, and internal project stakeholders

· Regular reporting to the construction management

Professional requirements:

· Completed, industry-specific vocational training in the construction industry

· At least 3 years of professional experience in infrastructure construction

· Sound knowledge of civil engineering and construction supervision

· Knowledge of occupational safety and relevant regulations (including DGUV)

· Experience in coordinating construction processes and trades

· Knowledge of quantity surveying, change order management, and technical reporting
