Role Overview

Our banking client in Brussels is seeking a Freelance Business Data Analyst to support their Current Account team. The role focuses on creating dashboards, generating insights, and analyzing gaps in product usage to improve forecasting and prevent overshooting.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards using Cognos.
  • Utilize Adobe tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Perform data analysis to identify gaps in product usage and provide actionable insights.
  • Support forecasting improvements and help avoid overshooting targets.
  • Conduct reporting, requirement analysis, and ensure proper follow-up and validation of deliverables.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst within banking or financial services.
  • Strong proficiency in Cognos and Adobe tools (experience required).
  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into clear business insights.
  • Experience in reporting, requirements gathering, and validation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.

 

Language Requirements

  • Dutch or French (mandatory).

 

Additional Information

  • Location: Brussels
  • On-site: 2 days per week
  • Contract: Freelance, 9 months (extendable)

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
