Data Center Engineer – Frankfurt

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Rate: Up to €700/day

Contract: 12 months (extensions likely)

A global Datacenter operator is seeking an experienced Data Centre Engineer to support day‑to‑day operations across a live critical environment. You’ll be part of a high‑performing engineering team ensuring uptime, safety, and smooth running of all M&E systems. EU work rights required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver PPMs and reactive maintenance across critical M&E infrastructure
  • Support HV/LV systems, cooling, UPS, generators, and fire systems
  • Monitor BMS/EPMS and respond to alarms or system irregularities
  • Escort and supervise contractors during maintenance and project works
  • Maintain accurate logs, permits, and operational documentation
  • Assist with change control, risk assessments, and incident response
  • Uphold safety standards and contribute to a strong compliance culture

What You’ll Need

  • Previous experience in a data center or critical‑environment engineering role
  • Strong M&E background (electrical bias preferred)
  • HV experience or switching competency highly desirable
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑availability environments
  • Solid understanding of SOPs/EOPs and critical‑facility processes
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
