Project Engineer E&I - Chemical Industry - g2 Recruitment
As a Project Engineer E&I, you are the technical partner and responsible for the electrical and instrumentation part of projects. You will lead these projects from the concept phase up to and including commissioning and handover. You monitor the technical quality, safety, planning and budget, and make an important contribution to optimizing the performance of installations.
This position is open to both freelance AND permanent candidates, the aim is to eventually have someone on the payroll (permanently). For freelancers, a 12-month initial contract is offered.
What will you do?
- Leading and realizing projects: Preparation of scopes, documents, task assignments and planning; monitoring progress including budget, budget and quality.
- Detail-engineering & compliance: Designing according to ATEX & NEN standards, design, selecting materials and systems (DCS, PLC).
- Commissioning & transfer: Commissioning of systems, preparation of logbooks and delivery files; transfer to operations.
- Stakeholder management & implementation: Managing external engineers, contractors and suppliers; Liaising with internal specialists and management.
- Safety & Change: Initiating MOCs, participating in PHA or RCA studies, being able to intervene in unsafe situations.
What do they ask of you?
- Skilled and proactive: MBO+/HBO diploma Electrical Engineering with +3 years of hands-on project experience within E&I in the process or chemical industry.
- Thorough process knowledge: Experience with PMBoK-like methodologies, SAP, AutoCAD/Bentley, DCS/PLC systems.
- Languages: English fluent; Dutch or German is an advantage.
- Competences: Independent, communicative, persuasive, decisive and solution oriented.
- You can easily step into complex processes and create support among the parties involved.
