The Opportunity
Our client is delivering a significant Oil & Gas infrastructure project in Leipzig and is seeking an experienced Freelance Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor to join the site execution team.
You will be responsible for supervising all E&I installation activities, ensuring technical compliance, safety, and alignment with project execution plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day E&I installation work and subcontractor activities
- Ensure adherence to design drawings, technical specifications, and ATEX/hazardous area standards
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams
- Monitor and verify installation quality, progress, and field implementation of technical documentation
- Participate in inspections, FAT/SAT, and loop checks
- Address technical issues and ensure timely resolution of site challenges
- Support punch list and pre-commissioning efforts leading to successful handover
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in E&I supervision within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of control systems, instrumentation, cabling, and hazardous area installations
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical standards
- Strong leadership and coordination skills in cross-functional environments
- Fluent in English and German
- Available for daily on-site work in Leipzig
