Electrical Engineer

Our client, a leader in the oil and gas industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer working on both greenfield and brownfield projects

 

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be joining our clients team supporting projects and operations across the Oil & Gas sector. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams on the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical systems that are critical to the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, review, and maintain LV and MV electrical systems, including power distribution, protection systems, and motor controls.
  • Support both new project development and operational facilities through hands-on engineering and technical guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards including IEC, AREI, and ATEX.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and site teams to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality execution.
  • Participate in or lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance planning.
  • Prepare technical documentation, inspection reports, and design packages.

 

Nice to have Requirements:

  • At least 5 years Experience in the Oil & Gas, chemical, power, or industrial sectors
  • Proficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar
  • Familiarity with hazardous area classifications, EX equipment, and Belgium electrical safety regulations
  • Fluent in English and Dutch

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
