Electrical Engineer · Hybrid
Freelance Electrical Engineers needed to support on a major project in Dresden.
Start Date - 1st December
Contract Length - 6 months / freelance
Role Purpose:
Support the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure for a high-tech manufacturing facility. Ensure reliable power distribution, safe operations, and effective integration of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and develop electrical designs for power distribution, substations, switchgear, transformers, UPS, and LV/HV systems.
- Coordinate equipment hook-up, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with German and EU electrical safety standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare electrical schematics, documentation, and commissioning reports.
- Support maintenance planning and system reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with mechanical, process, and automation teams, as well as contractors and vendors.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in high-tech or semiconductor facility projects.
- Knowledge of cleanroom utilities and electrical interfaces.
- Project management or safety certifications (PMP, NEBOSH, etc.).
- 3–5+ years of industrial facility, construction, or commissioning experience.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, HV/LV systems, UPS, and switchgear.
- Familiarity with VDE/IEC standards and electrical safety practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- English required; German beneficial.
