High Voltage Electrical Engineer – Grid Connection (Hybrid)
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid/Remote flexibility)
We are seeking a High Voltage Electrical Engineer to support grid connection activities for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on the design, coordination, and execution of HV systems linked to power generation, transmission, and energy integration projects.
You will work closely with project teams and external stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient grid connection delivery across multiple project phases.
Key responsibilities:
- Support design and engineering of high-voltage grid connection systems
- Coordinate technical interfaces between utilities, contractors, and project teams
- Review and validate HV designs, studies, and technical documentation
- Support commissioning, testing, and energisation activities
- Ensure compliance with grid codes, standards, and safety requirements
- Contribute to technical problem-solving during project execution
Requirements:
- Strong background in high-voltage electrical engineering and grid systems
- Experience with grid connection projects in energy or infrastructure sectors
- Knowledge of HV substations, transmission systems, and protection schemes
- Familiarity with utility interface requirements and grid compliance standards
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
