Freelance Field Service Engineer – Data Centre Projects
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Contract Length:12 Months (Potential Extension)
Sector: Hyperscale Data Centres
This is a hands-on, site-based position where you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of critical power infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, testing, and maintenance of UPS systems
- Commissioning and functional testing of diesel generators
- Integration and electrical connection of systems to generator infrastructure
- Supporting troubleshooting and fault-finding activities
- Working alongside commissioning teams, electrical contractors, and client representatives
- Ensuring all works are delivered in line with safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience working on critical power systems within data centres, industrial, or mission-critical environments
- Strong background in UPS systems and generator commissioning
- Experience with electrical integration and connection works
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment
- Relevant electrical certifications (Dutch certifications advantageous but not essential)
