Electrical Project Manager · On-site

g2 are working with a top-tier General Contractor, helping to construct and deliver a hyperscale data center project in Finland's metropolis, Helsinki!

We are on the lookout for an Electrical Project Manager to work on a freelance basis. The role is technical and on-site, where you'll take full responsibility of the electrical scope and play a key role in delivering a mission-critical facility.

OVERVIEW:

  • English speaking role (no Finnish required but advantageous)
  • 12 month contract minimum (possibility for extension)
  • 5 days on-site
  • Opportunity to decide your own rotation!

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage electrical subcontractors across MV/LV systems, power distribution, and critical infrastructure
  • Oversee installation of transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, busbars, and associated electrical services
  • Coordinate closely with other disciplinaries to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Drive project schedule, quality standards, and health & safety compliance on site
  • Support testing, commissioning, and successful project handover

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience delivering electrical packages on data center projects
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, UPS and backup systems, and critical electrical infrastructure
  • EU passport (essential)
  • Available for a freelance, site-based role in Helsinki

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
