Job Role – Electrical Supervisor

Industry – Renewable Energy (Solar + BESS)

Duration – 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Location – Germany + Various EU Project Sites

Rate – Per/Day (paid in €

Languages – English proficiency required (B2 minimum)

 

g2 are supporting an international EPC to recruit a full project team. They require a Freelance Electrical Supervisor to oversee the installation, commissioning and documentation of large‑scale renewable energy projects across Germany and wider EU sites.

 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise electrical installation works (MV/LV/HV) on Solar PV, BESS or EPC project sites.

• Coordinate daily work schedules, subcontractor activities, toolbox talks and site documentation.

• Ensure compliance with electrical design, project specifications, grid‑connection requirements, safety rules and QA/QC standards.

• Oversee testing & commissioning activities (continuity, insulation, loop tests, transformer checks, inverter setup, protection relay configuration).

• Manage site reporting: progress updates, NCRs, method statements, risk assessments and as‑built documentation.

• Liaise with Project Managers, HSE teams, Grid Operators and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.

 

 

Requirements:

• Completed qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technician, or equivalent.

• Minimum 3+ years site experience supervising electrical installation works on either: Solar PV, BESS or Substations.

• Strong knowledge of EU electrical standards; experience with German VDE standards is a strong advantage.

• Experience managing subcontractors, scheduling, QA/QC processes and site documentation.

• Ability to read/interpret electrical drawings (SLDs, cable routing, schematics).

• Valid EU work eligibility + willingness to travel across multiple EU sites.
