Electrical Technician/Electrician - Oil & Gas Sector, Compression & H2 Technology - Germany, North-Rhine Westphalia/Saxony - Permanent, Competitive Salary & Bonus Scheme - German-Speaking

Our client operates globally across the oil and gas sector (including hydrogen) and has experienced consistent growth over the last decade. The feedback we have received from the candidates we have already placed with them has been extremely positive, and my Director and I had the chance to visit their headquarters in Germany last year to meet them in person.

As an Electrical Technician, the role involves delivering reliable, safe and high‑quality electrical installations and commissioning services for complex systems and equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical installation work for industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and safety requirements.
  • Commission switchgear, control panels and related systems, including functional testing and fault diagnostics.
  • Install and connect MSR (measurement, control and regulation) systems as well as low-voltage components and devices.
  • Perform cable routing, wiring, termination and documentation across various project sites.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to support smooth project execution.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Completed vocational training as an electrician, electrical technician, mechatronics technician or similar qualification.
  • Initial experience in an industrial, plant engineering or service environment is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and a flexible, hands‑on working approach.
  • Class B driving licence.
  • Strong awareness of safety, quality and reliability.
  • B2 German or above

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
