Equipment Engineer

A client based in the Limburg region are looking for a mid to senior Equipment engineer on either a freelance or Datavast option. As an Equipment Engineer, you'll lead the development and optimization of equipment and systems across our production facilities. From initial specifications to design, implementation, and handover, you'll manage the full lifecycle of equipment projects, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers.

You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all safety and regulatory standards, including CE marking, ATEX, and the Machinery Directive. You'll also support operational teams and drive continuous improvements in equipment performance and reliability.

Required skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Engineer at a machine builder or in an (industrial) production or process environment, supplemented with experience of working in projects
  • Experience with (soft) PLC and SCADA systems
  • Experience and/or affinity with process technology and process installations
  • Experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE, IPMA or similar
  • Experience with Maintenance Engineering/Asset Management
  • Affinity with industrial networks
  • Preferably you have worked in a multidisciplinary work environment, where you have built up experience in designing and implementing advanced equipment
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language

You are required to be on site a maximum of 3 days a week.

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
