Fiber Installation Project Supervisor | Frankfurt | Freelance
We are seeking experienced Fiber Installation Supervisors to support a large-scale data center project in Frankfurt. This role is ideal for professionals with strong hands-on fiber experience and a background working in mission‑critical environments. You will oversee on‑site fiber installation teams, ensure cabling quality meets enterprise standards, and coordinate with project managers and engineering teams to maintain schedule and delivery expectations.
Contract: Freelance
Location: Frankfurt
Contract Length: 6 months with extension
Working pattern: 5 days per week (on-site)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate fiber installation teams across multiple data hall workstreams
- Ensure all fiber cabling (SM/MM) is installed to industry and project standards
- Oversee routing, terminations, testing, and documentation of fiber infrastructure
- Liaise with networking engineers to validate connectivity and hardware requirements
- Conduct quality control checks on cabling work, patching, and containment systems
- Maintain compliance with data center safety protocols and site access procedures
- Report daily progress, risks, and resource needs to project management
- Support troubleshooting of fiber links and physical networking issues when required
Essential skills:
- Strong knowledge of fiber cabling (installation, routing, containment, testing)
- Proficiency in cable installation techniques, including patching and termination
- Good understanding of networking hardware (switches, optics, transceivers)
- Data center technician background (familiar with structured cabling environments)
- English speaking
