Freelance Project Manager · Tank Construction · On-Site

We are seeking a Freelance Tank Construction Project Manager to oversee the construction of a new tank terminal. The project is valued at €10M and will involve the construction of 18 new tanks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tank terminal construction, specifically with contractors. The candidate must be able to manage all aspects of the construction from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the construction of a tank terminal with 18 new tanks, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee the entire construction process, from site preparation through to final handover, including all structural, mechanical, and electrical work related to tank construction.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor and manage the €10M project budget, ensuring cost control measures are in place and any financial issues are addressed promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the construction process.
  • Provide regular progress updates to clients and internal teams, addressing any concerns or challenges that arise.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in Tank Terminal Construction: Proven track record in managing large-scale tank terminal construction projects with companies like Ballast Nedam, Verwater, Ivens, Equans, HMT, Arma Tank, J de Jong, GPI, or Geldof.
  • Freelance/Contractor Experience: Comfortable working as a freelancer or contractor, with the ability to manage projects independently.
  • Budget Management: Experience in managing €10M+ projects, with a focus on cost control and resource allocation.

 

Reporting to the Project Department Manager, the role will incorporate delivering a brownfield capex project with a total value of around 20m€.
