Contract Opportunity - Rig Supervision & Trial Pitting / Logging (BS5930)
Location: Scottish Highlands
Duration: 6 Months (with potential extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: Competitive, DOE
Client: Leading Geotechnical Engineering Contractor - Major G2 Recruitment Partner
We are working with a market-leading geotechnical engineering contractor, a long-standing client of G2 Recruitment, on a Highlands-based ground investigation project. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile contract delivering key geotechnical works in a stunning part of the UK.
Role Responsibilities:

Supervise rotary and cable percussive drilling rigs on-site

Oversee and carry out trial pitting works
-
Log soils and rock in accordance with BS5930 standards
-
Liaise with site teams, contractors, and the client to ensure smooth project delivery
-
Maintain accurate site records, logs, and reports
Key Requirements:
-
Proven experience in rig supervision within a geotechnical or site investigation context
-
Competence in trial pitting and/or logging to BS5930
-
Strong understanding of H&S requirements on site
-
Valid CSCS card
-
Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to changing site conditions

Full UK driving licence
