Health Safety Environment Supervisor

We are currently supporting a client in the search for an HSE Coordinator to join their team on a freelance basis in Bergen op Zoom. This role will focus on advising local management and providing support materials to strengthen HSE awareness and regulatory compliance.

The contract will initially run for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The role offers flexibility-either 16 or 24 hours per week, depending on your availability and preference.

Start Date: October / November 2025

Location: Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands

Duration: 6 months (extension likely)

Rate: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide expert HSE advice to site management

· Participate in risk assessments and manage associated documentation

· Support during inspections by local authorities

· Drive continuous improvement in HSE awareness and compliance

Requirements:

· Minimum 3+ years of HSE experience

· Background in the chemical industry

· Knowledge of Seveso/BRZO regulations

· MVK certification required

· Fluency in Dutch is essential

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
