HSE Supervisor – Industrial

Location: Seraing, Belgium

Remote Work: Not available

Mission Duration: 3 Months (possibility to extend to end of 2026)

 

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to support a major industrial project. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, lead HSE activities on site, and support commissioning and pre-start-up phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Manager in risk assessment activities.
  • Lead daily HSE initiatives, including training sessions and toolbox talks.
  • Conduct daily briefings to maintain team awareness of safety standards.
  • Perform routine safety inspections on site.
  • Validate permits to work and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
  • Verify lockout/tagout (LOTO) and isolations during commissioning phases.
  • Prepare and follow up on Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR).

Experience & Requirements:

  • Proven HSE experience in Oil & Gas or similar industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and commissioning procedures.
  • Fluent in French and English.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to conduct safety training and briefings effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Location:

  • On-site at Seraing, Belgium (no remote work).

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
