Information Technology Manager

IT Manager - Permanent - Brussels - Non-Profit Industry

We're looking for an IT Manager on a permanent basis for a client in Brussels. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the client's digital transformation journey. You will inherit a team of 7 and it will be your task to sculpt and nurture the team in the hope of designing and implementing a future-proof IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a secure and scalable IT infrastructure and ensure seamless integration between different services, systems and platforms
  • Design and implement the IT ecosystem that can improve and enhance productivity and performance
  • Promote a data driven culture.
  • Nurture, grow and scale your IT team; accounting for individual personalities and performance plans.
  • Define an IT strategy that aligns with the business and their goals.

Key Requirements

  • 5-15 years of experience in IT within moderate sized companies. We don't need someone with 30+ years in large institutions.
  • Good people management skills. Able to grow and cultivate the mindset within the team. "Leader rather than a boss"
  • Pragmatic and proactive
  • Hybrid working in Brussels.

Note

  • We are not looking for an infrastructure manager here. The focus is on finding someone with experience in IT-Architecture and building ecosystems, less infrastructure. The task is to connect their core system with other systems, through API, building micro-services, service oriented Architecture, focus on data.

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
