Instrumentation and Control Engineer
One of our biggest clients are looking to bring on at least 2 instrumentation and control engineers to work on one of their latest facilities in Saxony, Germany.
They support some of the biggest EPC contractors and end users with complex engineering solutions for industrial applications, as well as energy transition. They operate across the Oil & Gas, Renewable and Hydrogen sectors internationally.
Any experience with reciprocating compressors or electrolysers is particularly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support projects by designing and implementing instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for reciprocating compressors and electrolyzers.
- Sensor & Actuator Selection: Specify sensors, transmitters, valves, and other field instrumentation based on project requirements.
- Interface with Control Systems: Ensure proper integration of instrumentation with PLC/DCS systems used in oil & gas and renewable energy applications.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs adhere to IEC, ATEX, SIL, and other industry standards for safety and reliability.
- Testing & Commissioning Support: Assist in FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and site commissioning when required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably in the oil & gas or renewable energy sector.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar design tools is positive.
- Knowledge of instrumentation & sensors.
- Experience with PLC/DCS systems and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, HART).
- Fluent English, German desirable but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, willing to work with cross-functional teams & attention to detail.
