Job Opportunity! – Interim Corporate Finance Manager – North of England
A local authority client based in the North of England are currently on the lookout for a Corporate Finance Manager to join their team on an interim basis.
Contract Duration: 6 Months +
Rate: DOE
IR35: Inside.
Hybrid: X2-3 days per week in office
Days: X5 days per week.
Start Date: ASAP
Main duties:
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of the corporate finance function, supporting statutory reporting, closedown activities, treasury management and compliance with financial regulations.
- Support the preparation of the Authority’s Statement of Accounts, ensuring adherence to the CIPFA Code, IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate external audit requirements by managing audit queries, reviewing working papers and supporting the resolution of technical accounting matters and recommendations.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and financial support across key corporate finance areas, including capital accounting, balance sheet management, reserves, provisions and financial controls.
- Line manage and support members of the corporate finance team, promoting continuous improvement, effective financial governance and delivery of high-quality financial reporting within statutory deadlines.
Successful candidates will need to have specific local authority experience working at Corporate Finance Manager level before.
