Job Opportunity! – Outside IR35 - Interim Executive Director of Finance, Strategy and Transformation – Scotland – Interviews Next Week
A local government client of mine are on the lookout for an Executive Director of Finance, Strategy & Transformation to join their team on an interim basis.
Contract Duration:4-5 Months (possibility to extend even further).
Rate: DOE
IR35: Outside
Days: 37 hours X 5 days p/w (Could maybe consider 30 hours X 4 days p/w)
Hybrid: X3 days per week in office (may fluctuate week by week).
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Full management and oversight of the Finance and Accountancy service within the council.
- Line management and oversight of the Human Resources service which is currently going through a lot of change so you will need to steady the ship.
- Transformation – have involvement with strategic transformation projects for the authority which includes different cost saving initiatives, modernisation or digitalisation projects that are being implemented and created within the council.
Successful candidates:
- Will have extensive recent Director of Resources, Director of Finance, Executive Director, Chief Finance Officer, S151 Officer, S95 Officer level experience working for UK Local Authorities.
- Will have extensive experience and involvement in anything from annual accounts, auditing, managing and presenting the full budgets as well as the budget setting process including capital & revenue budgets for 26/27.
- Will ideally as well as having extensive finance experience also have some experience in HR to help them through their period of change.
- Will ideally also have experience in transformation projects, cost saving initiatives, modernisation or digitalisation projects.
