Lead CSA Resident Engineer / Owner’s Representative – Data Centre Project
📍 Frankfurt, Germany | 💼 Freelance or Permanent
We are currently supporting a leading engineering consultancy on a data centre project in Frankfurt and are looking to appoint a Lead CSA Resident Engineer to oversee site delivery of the civil, structural, and architectural scope.
This is a key site-based role, acting on behalf of the client, ensuring that construction works are delivered in line with design intent, quality standards, and project requirements.
The Role
As Lead CSA Resident Engineer, you will take ownership of the CSA scope on site, working closely with the contractor and wider project team to monitor progress, review technical documentation, and maintain quality throughout construction.
You’ll play a critical role in coordinating stakeholders and ensuring that all installations align with approved designs and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee civil, structural, and architectural works on site
- Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs
- Act as the key interface between the client, contractor, and design teams
- Monitor site progress and report on risks, issues, and key milestones
- Carry out regular site inspections to ensure works align with approved documentation
- Identify and raise quality issues, snags, and non-conformances
- Contribute to weekly reporting and progress updates
- Attend and lead site meetings, including design and coordination reviews
- Ensure works are delivered in line with design intent and project standards
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+ years’ experience in CSA (Civil/Structural/Architectural) engineering
- Strong site-based experience across construction and quality assurance
- Previous data centre project experience is essential
- Experience reviewing technical documentation and managing RFIs
- Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
- Able to work within multidisciplinary project teams
- Fluent English required
- Willingness to be based full-time in Frankfurt
