Lead Piping Engineer · On-site

g2 Recruitment's client is looking for a lead piping engineer for a chemical waste piping package in Dresden. Key work will be to coordinate with international design offices, BIM team and lead an end-to-end piping process reporting to the project manager - semiconductor experience is majorly preferable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead piping design and coordination between international work offices.
  • Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and support details.
  • Manage and oversee a team of designers and engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
  • Conduct design reviews and work with vendors and clients.
  • Oversee material specifications, stress analysis, and equipment layouts.
  • Use piping design software (AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS, etc.) to model and review systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Experience with Plastic Piping
  • 8+ years of experience in piping design and engineering
  • Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Caesar II, etc.).
  • Communication skills in both English and German preferable
  • Knowledge of piping codes and industry standards
  • Semiconductor experience preferable

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
