Manufacturing Process Engineer · On-site

g2 are currently working with an exciting client who are based in the Amsterdam region, and have a short term 2–3-month vacancy for a Manufacturing Process Engineer in the Shaioxing region in China.

The client specialises in product and appliance manufacturing, specifically working on consumer products and FMCG, and are rapidly growing as a company.

You will be working on manufacturing process engineering, focusing on process optimisation and lean manufacturing, creating and implementing SOPs (standard operating procedures), and providing any assistance with manufacturing of the products.

Manufacturing Process Engineer – Freelance Position – 2-3 Months – China

Rates: Competitive market rates

Accomodation and Travel provided

Location: Shiaoxing region, China. (Client is Netherlands based with Chinese manufacturing partners)

 

Essential Skills:

  • Manufacturing engineering experience, mechanical, mechatronics, electronics or product manufacturing background
  • Experience working on manufacturing process optimisation, lean manufacturing, engineering & production validation
  • Able to create and ensure adherence to SOPs (standard operating procedures)
  • Working history with Chinese manufacturing partners very beneficial
  • English essential, Mandarin very beneficial

The client is looking for candidates to join them for 2-3 months to support their manufacturing, implementing SOPs and ensuring systems are in place for them to be followed.

The role will require you to be based in China for at least two months, travel and accommodation covered by client. Applicants will require EU citizenship.

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
