Mechanical Design Engineer

g2 currently looking for a Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer to join a client in the Randstad.

Our client is a major tank storage engineering consultancy.

They are searching for a mechanical design engineer to assist them with designing equipment for tank systems.

The role will suit a mechanical design engineer as they will need you to be doing the drawings, designs and calculations of the equipment and producing models that can be translated into actual tailored equipment.

START: Start of July

Duration: 6-12 Months

Location: The Randstad

Rate: Dependent on experience

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements

  • Mechanical engineering degree qualified
  • Extensive expertise using Autodesk Inventor Or Solidworks
  • Mechanical Design experience - Drawings, designs, calculations to translate into 3D models
  • Ability to produce detailed models in a time efficient manner in line with clients deadlines

Responsibilities

For this position, you will be given the direct set of projects to work on. This will be for Tank storage systems, this could be working on the seal components, the roofing of the tanks or even emission covers. The initial concepts will need to be translated into drawings and designs using Inventor or Solidworks and from these models will then be manufactured into actual parts.

The client has a suggested that they can start taking interviews at the earliest convenience.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
