Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Sweden (Remote/Hybrid)

Project Duration: 6-12 months

Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of power distribution systems within a dynamic project environment.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanical designer passionate about modern power distribution solutions, eager to take ownership of design tasks from concept to final documentation.

Essential Skills:

  • Several years of hands-on mechanical design experience, ideally within defense, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong technical understanding and natural interest in product development and power distribution systems.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with Creo is beneficial

Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D CAD models and detailed documentation using PTC Creo.
  • Conduct design studies and implement improvement initiatives on existing systems.
  • Participate in technical discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, contributing to product-oriented development.
  • Work within systems such as Windchill for data management and IFS for business processes.
  • Ensure technical solutions meet customer, safety, and industry requirements.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
