Mechanical Engineer

G2 are currently hiring for a client of mine in North Holland that are looking for a Freelance Mechanical Project engineer.

Our client are specialists within the production equipment industry for conveyor systems. They currently have more projects than what they can deal with and are looking to expand the engineering team.

Position details:

  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Rate: DOE
  • Location: North Holland

Position requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree qualified
  • Production / Conveyor system experience
  • Ability manages small projects whilst performing mechanical engineering work
  • Solid Works is a MUST
  • English speaking, Dutch is a bonus

Position Responsibilities:

For this position, you will be performing the mechanical engineering for conveyor systems for a range of clients across the Netherlands. The right candidate will be able to perform the drawings, designs and calculations of roller systems using SolidWorks. As part of this position, you will be required to be leading the projects and taking control of the mechanical engineering.

Ideally you will need to be working onsite as much as possible where needed. There is an option to work 1 or 2 days remote every now and then.

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
