g2 Recruitment have partnered with a fast‑growing organisation in the renewable energy sector, looking to expand their engineering and project delivery teams across multiple locations.

Open Roles

Mechanical Engineers – You will support the design, development, and optimisation of renewable energy systems, including solar PV structures, BESS enclosures, and mechanical components for grid‑scale installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support mechanical design from concept to commissioning
  • Conduct structural and mechanical calculations
  • Collaborate with EPC teams and external suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements
  • Assist in site-based technical support during installation

Electrical Engineers – You will be responsible for designing and reviewing electrical systems across PV, BESS, and hybrid renewable projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review electrical designs, schematics & single line diagrams
  • Support grid‑connection studies and system integration
  • Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, ISO and relevant electrical codes
  • Work closely with OEMs, EPC contractors, and internal project teams

Project Managers – You will oversee the planning and execution of renewable energy projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project lifecycle from planning through to commissioning
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineering, procurement, construction)
  • Track project schedules, risks, budgets, and stakeholder updates
  • Ensure quality and HSE standards are maintained
  • Oversee external partners, contractors & suppliers

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
