Mechanical Supervisor · On-Site

We are currently looking for both a Mechanical Supervisor to join a projects team for my client based in Rotterdam, supporting a large petrochemical tank storage facility on a permanent basis.
The client requires experienced supervisors who have a proven track record working on brownfield and greenfield projects within live industrial environments. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering ongoing and upcoming CAPEX projects across the terminal, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project scope and timelines.
You will be working on a major petrochemical tank storage site, overseeing contractors on site and ensuring all mechanical or E&I installation, modification, and upgrade works are delivered to a high standard. This will include involvement in planning, execution, and coordination of project activities, while maintaining strict adherence to HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate site activities within the projects team
  • Oversee contractors and ensure work is delivered safely and according to specifications
  • Support the execution of mechanical or E&I installation and upgrade projects
  • Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and permit-to-work systems
  • Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and report back to project management
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and project stakeholders

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industries
  • Strong experience working on live industrial sites / terminals
  • For Mechanical Supervisor: Experience with static equipment (tanks, piping, pumps, valves)
  • For E&I Supervisor: Experience with electrical systems, instrumentation, cabling, and control systems
  • Proven experience supervising contractors on project-based works
  • Strong understanding of HSE procedures and permit systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage site activities effectively
  • Fluent in English & Dutch
  • Willing to be site-based in Rotterdam full-time
