Our client which works in the transportation sector is looking for a Office Manager, who will be joining them near Rotterdam (South).
The role will be to take on office management, managing a small team of three covering finance administration, HR administration and sales support. You will be working as part of a global organisation with the opportunity to progress in the role.
Role Description:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to support the smooth day-to-day running of our operations within the transport and logistics sector. This is a varied and responsible role, combining financial administration, human resources support, and sales administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient internal processes and supporting both management and operational teams.
Location: Rotterdam region, near Dordrecht
Salary: €5,000 - €6,000 per month + car + package
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities
Office & Administrative Management
- Oversee daily office operations and ensure efficient administrative processes
- Act as a central point of contact for internal teams and external partners
- Maintain accurate records, systems, and filing (digital and physical)
Financial Administration
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and expenses
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, and basic financial reporting
- Liaise with accountants and external financial providers as required
- Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures
Human Resources Support
- Assist with recruitment administration, onboarding, and employee records
- Support payroll processes and manage timesheets/holiday records
- Help maintain HR policies and ensure compliance with employment legislation
Sales Support
- Provide administrative support to the sales team
- Prepare quotations, contracts, and customer documentation
- Maintain CRM systems and sales records
- Assist with customer communication and order processing
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in an office management or administrative type role
- Strong financial administration and bookkeeping knowledge
- Experience supporting HR and recruitment processes
- Sales administration or customer support experience
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using Microsoft Office and business systems (CRM/accounting software advantageous)
- Strong communication skills and a professional manner
Desirable Experience
- 3 – 15 years' work experience
- Experience within transport, logistics, or a fast-paced operational environment
- Knowledge of compliance, audits, or industry regulations
- Dutch language specialist
- Happy with working in a interesting dynamic work environment
