Freelance Site Manager – High Voltage Projects (Berlin, Germany)

An international contractor is urgently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee critical high-voltage works in North Rhine-Westphalia.

This is a hands-on, site-based role managing day-to-day execution of HV project activities — from subcontractor coordination to HSE enforcement and stakeholder reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee on-site works related to HV substations and infrastructure
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and internal standards
  • Provide clear, consistent reporting to senior project stakeholders
  • Drive progress on a fast-paced international project

Requirements:

  • Proven experience on HV substations or similar high-voltage installations
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and site reporting skills
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
  • Fluent in English – German not required
  • Must have the right to work in Germany (freelance eligible)

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
