Planner

g2 Recruitment are supporting a major contractor on a data centre project in Groningen, looking to secure an experienced Work Planner (Werkvoorbereider) for a 12-month contract.

This role is critical in ensuring the quality, timing, and coordination of all site activities - with a focus on ordering materials, monitoring schedules, and supporting invoicing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and prepare daily and weekly planning for civil works
  • Ensure smooth delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation to keep the project on schedule
  • Monitor quality, deadlines, and execution across subcontractors and teams
  • Support invoicing, cost-tracking, and work orders
  • Liaise between site teams, suppliers, and project managers to eliminate delays
  • Keep accurate records of progress and deviations

Requirements:

  • Background in civil engineering / groundwork-heavy construction projects
  • Fluent Dutch with a good level of English for site coordination
  • Experience in ordering, planning, and supporting commercial processes (e.g., invoicing, documentation)
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Experience on data centres, infrastructure, or industrial builds is a plus

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
