Our client operate on a range of projects within the oil and gas sector, including hydrogen, LNG and petrochemical. They have experienced consistent growth over the last decade, and the feedback we have received from the candidates we have already placed with them has been extremely positive.
They are looking for engineers and programmers with a strong understanding of process automation, either within the oil and gas, chemical or energy sectors. They are willing to offer a flexible salary and benefits package for the right candidates, happy to share more details.
PLC Programmer:
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test PLC‑based control systems for a variety of industrial applications.
- Program and configure control solutions using Siemens TIA Portal, ABB, and other modern automation platforms.
- Implement and validate safety PLCs, interlocks, and HMI/SCADA interfaces to ensure reliable and intuitive system operation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sophisticated automation concepts from initial design to commissioning.
- Support system integration, troubleshooting, and optimisation during on‑site deployments when required.
Profile:
- Degree or technician qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Strong practical experience with Siemens TIA Portal or ABB, safety PLCs, and industrial automation architectures.
- Solid understanding of automation engineering, process control, and industrial communication protocols.
- Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally internationally for commissioning or project support.
- Confident communication skills in German and English.
Interview slots are available from Monday, the process is 2-stages. The first being a call over teams with the Managing Director, the second being a paid visit to their site in either North-Rhine Westphalia or Saxony.
