HSE Manager – Data Centre Project

We are currently supporting a leading Data Centre contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced HSE Manager for a major Data Centre construction project in Amsterdam.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project from an early stage and play a key role in driving health, safety and environmental standards across site operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all HSE activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop, implement and monitor site-specific HSE plans and procedures.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and safety reviews to ensure compliance with local legislation and company standards.
  • Drive a positive safety culture across all contractors and stakeholders on site.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety training.
  • Produce HSE reports and provide regular updates to senior management and the client.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a HSE Manager on large-scale construction projects.
  • Previous Data Centre experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of European HSE regulations and best practice.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors within a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Relevant HSE qualifications (NEBOSH, NVQ, Diploma, IOSH or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
