Job Title: Project Manager - Building Management (Commercial Construction)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with an electrical engineering background to manage a commercial construction project focused on building management systems (BMS) in Copenhagen. This 12-month contract role will involve overseeing project delivery, ensuring timely execution, quality, and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Lead planning, execution, and closure of the project, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management: Supervise project teams and act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, clients, and contractors.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all electrical systems and BMS are installed and function to high standards and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project costs, procurements, and manage supplier contracts to stay within budget.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any project-related issues or risks, especially in the electrical or BMS areas.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in managing commercial construction projects, particularly electrical/BMS systems.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical installations, BMS, and project management software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
  • Languages: Proficiency in English (Danish preferred).
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to project execution.

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant.
