Project Manager

Project Manager - Data Center Developer - Germany, Rhine-Main, - Permanent, Competitive Salary - ASAP Start

One of the data center developers we're working with are looking for an experienced Project Manager to help lead their flagship greenfield data center project.

He said knowledge of the product is key, as it shows a genuine interest in the sector, but also the softer skills that enable manager's to gel well with both their team and the clients are vital.

He is also looking for an entrepreneurial streak, to help build relationships with new clients and of course to expand on their current portfolio, any past examples of this will be very helpful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the full lifecycle of the project, from the tendering phases through to the full commissioning stage and continued operations
  • Steer the project in the right direction for the entire duration, collaborating closely with key stakeholders throughout
  • Oversee the planning and execution phases of the project, leasing closely with architects throughout the design phase
  • Expand upon existing business by approaching new clients throughout the process, attending events, proactively networking with other key players in the DC space

Qualifications:

  • 3 + years' data center construction experience in Germany
  • PMP certification, PRINCE 2 or comparable qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/similar qualification
  • B1 + German Level

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
