We are currently supporting a leading chemical company in The Hague who are looking to bring on board a Project Manager with experience in the process industry to support the execution of a brownfield CAPEX project on-site.
The client is focused on delivering several sustainability-driven upgrades as part of their long-term asset improvement programme. This includes infrastructure renewal, compliance upgrades, and process improvements, aligned with upcoming 2026 regulatory and operational targets. The role is available to start anytime between now and February, depending on candidate availability.

Location: The Hague, NL (site-based role)
Duration: 12-month contract (freelance or temp-to-perm)
Industry: Chemical / Process Industry
Project Value: €10–20 million
Phase: Execution – delivery to completion
What we’re looking for:
- 5–10+ years' experience managing brownfield or sustaining CAPEX projects in process plant environments (chemical, oil & gas, energy, etc.).
- Background in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
- Strong track record of site-based project delivery, including:
- Engineering coordination
- Procurement & vendor management
- Construction oversight
- Commissioning & handover
- Proven budget, planning, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience interfacing with contractors, internal engineering teams, and senior operations leaders.
Nice to have:
- Dutch-speaking candidates strongly preferred (though not essential).
- Experience in projects involving process optimisation or energy efficiency improvements is a plus.
