Electrical Lead / Coordinator – Data Center Project (North of Helsinki, Finland)

 

Overview

Freelance, on-site opportunity near Helsinki supporting the delivery of three 40 MW data centers being constructed simultaneously. This role is focused purely on the electrical scope, leading site delivery across multiple buildings in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Contract duration is 2–3 years, with accommodation provided.

 

Key Tasks

  • Lead, coordinate, and direct all electrical teams and subcontractors across the three concurrent builds
  • Oversee installation and integration of HV/MV infrastructure, including switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and distribution networks
  • Plan and manage daily electrical activities, sequencing, and labour allocation to meet project milestones
  • Ensure all electrical works are delivered in line with design drawings, technical specifications, and programme deadlines
  • Monitor and enforce quality control standards across installations and workmanship
  • Take ownership of electrical safety, ensuring compliance with site procedures and industry regulations
  • Act as the key on-site point of contact for all electrical coordination issues, resolving clashes and technical challenges efficiently
  • Interface closely with commissioning teams to support system testing, energisation, and final handover
  • Provide regular progress updates and coordinate with wider project teams to maintain alignment across all phases

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
