QA/QC Manager · On-Site
We are currently resourcing for an experienced, elite QA/QC Manager to lead the quality assurance framework and site-level inspection regimes for a landmark semiconductor fabrication facility (Fab) construction project in Dresden.
- Location: Dresden, Germany (Silicon Saxony)
- Duration: Long-term rolling contract
- Commitment: 4 to 5 days per week on-site
- Start Date: ASAP (Urgent Mobilization)
- Language Requirement: Fluent English and German
This is a dynamic, high-visibility field role. The project requires a hands-on professional who divides their time equally between internal cleanroom/technical facility spaces and heavy external civil/structural utility areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that all structural, mechanical, and electrical packages strictly comply with zero-defect semiconductor facility standards before mechanical completion.
The Role:
- Site Verification: Proven track record conducting rigorous, physical on-site inspections, quality gate reviews, and geometric/technical installation checks.
- Balanced Environment: Must be comfortable and experienced managing quality controls across both inside execution (complex data halls, cleanroom envelopes, sub-fab spaces) and outside scopes (HV substations, external utility routes, primary structural packages).
- Site Presence: On-site in Dresden 4 to 5 days a week—this is not a remote or administrative desk role.
- Communication: Fluent English is essential for coordinating with the international engineering management team and tier-1 subcontractor groups.
- Experience: Direct background in semiconductor fabs, hyperscale data centers, biopharma plants, or complex industrial environments is highly preferred.
Core Responsibilities:
- Drive the daily on-site Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) across multiple simultaneous construction fronts.
- Lead the site-level punch-list, non-conformance report (NCR), and defect remediation tracking using digital construction tools (Procore / Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Physically inspect first-fix and second-fix electrical containment, mechanical process piping, and structural grounding paths to guarantee "construction-to-design" alignment.
- Coordinate directly with Package Managers and Construction Supervisors to sign off on quality gates ahead of system commissioning phases.
