Job Title: QA/QC Manager – Data Center Project (Hamburg)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities on a major data center construction project in Hamburg. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is delivered to the highest quality standards, complies with project specifications, and aligns with German construction regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Quality Management Plan.
  • Oversee QA/QC procedures for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical works.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of site activities and subcontractor works.
  • Review and approve method statements, ITPs, test reports, material certifications, and other quality documentation.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventative action processes for any quality issues.
  • Manage the snagging and punch-list process through to completion.
  • Coordinate with the Client’s QA/QC team and external stakeholders, including local authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with German standards (DIN, VDE, DGUV) and project-specific requirements.
  • Maintain clear and organised documentation for handover and commissioning phases.
  • Provide training and guidance to site teams to ensure consistent quality practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a QA/QC Manager on data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale technical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards relating to MEP and/or CSA packages.
  • Familiarity with German building codes and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and testing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.
  • Relevant technical degree or trade background (engineering, construction management, etc.).

Preferred:

  • Experience with high-density electrical and mechanical systems common in data centers.
  • Previous work with international general contractors or specialist subcontractors.
  • Certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, TÜV qualifications, or equivalent.
